Kiwi Rance returned a brilliant 7 for 17 in 9 overs.

Unbeaten Division Two leaders Vickerstown were at Dalton A and batting first were below par, with only skipper Gareth Benson on 35, and Isaac Whitehall, 32, giving Dalton problems. They reached 149 for 8 in their 50 overs. Paul Davey took 3 for 56 but it was Mike Walker’s 15 overs conceding only 15 runs with one wicket that tied down Vickerstown.

After tea, Dalton had a disastrous start with five of the top six batsmen making 15 runs between them, only Ross Peoples with 42 gave Dalton hope.

More wickets fell until Matthew Holmes batting at number 9 came in and played a match winning innings of 62 not out, with 3 fours and 2 sixes, to see Dalton home at 152 for 9.
