LIAM Livingstone has been included in the England side to take on a Cricket Australia XI in a two-day game in Perth.

The Barrow batsman is one of five members of the England Lions squad to be named in the team for the match this weekend.

Livingstone captained the Lions for the first time on Wednesday, in a 50-over match against a Western Australia XI, the first white-ball game of their tour of the country.

He scored 19 in that match – which ended in victory for the hosts in Perth – and will be joined in the 12-man England squad by fellow Lions Mark Wood, Ben Duckett, Keaton Jennings, Dan Lawrence and Jack Leach.

Barrow Cricket Club youth product Livingstone – who last week was named as the new captain of Lancashire for the 2018 season – made his England debut earlier this year in a Twenty20 international against South Africa.

Moeen Ali will captain the tourists in Perth, the only member of the side who lost the second Test in Adelaide this week to feature. Fellow Ashes squad members Jake Ball, Gary Ballance, Mason Crane Ben Foakes and Tom Curran also feature.

England Squad: Moeen Ali (C), Jake Ball, Gary Ballance, Mason Crane, Tom Curran, Ben Duckett, Ben Foakes (wk), Keaton Jennings, Dan Lawrence, Jack Leach, Liam Livingstone, Mark Wood.
