LIAM Livingstone is back in the international fold after being called up for England Lions.

The Lancashire captain has been included in the squad for a 50-over Tri-Series against India A and West Indies A.

Livingstone last played for the Lions on their winter tour of the West Indies, before joining up with the full England test squad for their series in New Zealand. He top-scored in the first warm-up match against the Kiwis, but despite that effort featured neither in the second nor in either of the two Tests.

The Barrow CC product has found his form with the bat in recent matches, with three back-to-back half-centuries in Lancashire's last three Royal London One-Day Cup matches.

He blasted 90 from 56 balls against Leicestershire and 86 from 73 balls as they defeated Derbyshire, before a blistering 79 from 44 balls in the high-scoring defeat to Roses rivals Yorkshire.

Livingstone – who made his England debut in the Twenty20 arena against South Africa last summer – also has a good record for the Lions.

He became only the second player – after Kevin Pietersen – to score centuries in both innings of a game for them, against Sri Lanka last year, and top-scored in matches in the West Indies and Australia over the past winter.

The Lions will begin the Tri-Series against India A at Derby on June 22, before facing West Indies A at the same ground a day later.

They play India again in Leicester on June 26 and West Indies on June 28 in Northampton, with the final at the Kia Oval on July 2.

Before then, Livingstone is on duty with Lancashire, who play Essex in the County Championship, starting on Saturday.
