FRIDAY LEAGUE
ABBEY Road Cons A are still top of the John Smith’s Extra Smooth Friday League snooker standings after a 3-0 win at St Pat’s.
Their victories came from Martin McDonald (32 break), A Carruthers and J Arnold on a black-ball game. J O’Leary scored a 28 break in defeat.
Cemetery Cottages are a close second after they also had a 3-0 win at the Navy Club thanks to Jon Tyerman, D Simpson and A Cook.
Soccer Bar stay third after a 2-1 home win over Roose Cons. R Yorke and S Hetherington got their points, with M Edmonds pulling one back for Roose.
Abbey Road Cons B also had a 2-1 home win over the Nautical. G Muncaster and M Dabloo were on form for the Cons, while D Kershaw was the Nautical’s winner.
Red River took all three points at Vickerstown CC thanks to K Brown, R Larkin and P Jones.
Abbey Road Cons B stay top at billiards despite dropping a point against the Nautical.
Alan Edmondson and P Johnson won for the Cons, while W Wall beat Derek Hurley for the Nautical’s point.
Second-placed Abbey Road A won 2-1 at St Pat’s, with Kevin Quinn (19 break) and A Boardman (22 break) both successful. Paul Kyle (24 break) won for St Pat’s.
Vickerstown CC had a good 3-0 home win over the Red River, with victories for J Sharp, Gareth Willis and D Holmes.
Navy Club also took maximum points at home to Cemetery Cottages thanks to Geoff Turner (21 break), E Harkins and T Elliott.
The Soccer Bar went down 3-0 to Roose Cons, with R Cooney, E Johnson (20 run out) and P Roberts all in fine form.
Vickerstown CC stay one point clear at the top of the darts after a 4-3 win against the Red River.
With the scores at, 3-3 A Wilkinson won the match for the home team.
Other winners for the Cricketers were G Willis (140-100), C Lucas (139k-up-121-3x100 in 18 darts) and A Holmes. For the Red River, R Larkin, S Roebuck (140-120k-up) and I Hartley (100) won.
Nautical are second after a 7-0 drubbing of Abbey Road Cons B, with wins for K Southward, W Elliott, D Kershaw (64k-up), B Knibbs, J Fletcher, P Hewitson and G Culbert (92k-up).
St Pats’ won 5-2 against Abbey Road A to stay third, with victories for I Large, D Rafferty (2x100), C Kirkby (140-85-81), B Linklater (125-2x83) and J O’Leary. For the Cons T Huitson (100) and D Rush (2x100) came out on top.
Navy Club had a convincing 7-0 home win over Cemetery Cottages, with wins for K Jones (140), P Hunter (2x100), P Armistead (100), S Garnett, G Higgins, S Eastham (100-96) and E Harkins winning.
The Soccer Bar lost 5-2 at home to Roose Cons. K Wood, M Irvine, M Edmonds (100), R Hudson (140-85) and J Warburton were their winners.
Abbey Road Cons A’s 3-1 win at St Pat’s puts them top at don. T Woodward and T Snaith, T Hodgson and I Walsh and D Rush and S Hill got their points, with D Rafferty and I Large pulling one back for St Pat’s.

Vickerstown CC also won 3-1 against Red River. Their successful pairs were J Sharp and A Wilkinson, P Fitzpatrick and I Scott and D Holmes and G Willis. S Roebuck and M Holden got the Red River’s point.
Abbey Road Cons B and Nautical drew 2-2, with the Cons’ winners being M Hodgson and M Fieldhouse and P Johnson and G Hutton, while for the Nautical W Elliott and D Kershaw and B Knibbs and P Hewitson won well.
Another 2-2 draw took place at the Soccer Bar against Roose Cons. The Soccer Bar’s winners were S Hetherington and R Yorke and B Cubin and A N Other, and the successful Roose pairs were J Rawlinson and B Taylor and A Jackson and J Johnson.
