CLOSE GAME Sheila Burns takes on Brian Winder in the Peter Wilson Memorial Trophy final SUBMITTED
BRIAN Winder triumphed in the Peter Wilson Memorial Trophy with a hard-fought victory over Police team-mate Sheila Burns.
Winder came out on top 21-18 in the final of a competition contested by Walney League Over-60s players at West Shore.
He defeated Peter McDonald 21-15 in the semi-final, with Burns accounting for Ian Fairclough by a 21-7 margin.
The competition organisers thanked hosts West Shore Bowling Club, everyone involved in the running of the event, and Lisa Wilson who presented the trophy on behalf of her late father Peter, a founder member of the league.
