LINDA Valentine and Margaret Kirk showed great form for Dalton Ladies in the Furness and District Women’s Bowling League Division One.

Both won their games to eight against North Scale, as did Linda Keen and Margaret Hindmarsh.

Dalton took seven games and lost two to nineteen, but there was some excellent bowling from both teams.

There was an 8-3 victory for Coop against Biggar Bank, with Ann Radford and Debbie Hall performing well for Coop.

King Alfred beat Ulverston Cons 7-4. Glenis McDonald won well at the top, taking her game 21-12. Joyce and Angela Athersmith had Ulverston’s best results.

In the other matches, Hawcoat Park scored well at Askam, winning 9-3, and Red River beat Roose A by the same score.

In Division Two, Hawcoat Park A did not drop a game against Park North.

They had four excellent single-figure wins.

Barrow Island and Biggar Bank both won at home 9-2, and King Alfred A triumphed 8-4 at Walney Park.

West Mount and Dalton Cricket had a great match, taking five games each, but Dalton won the aggregate by seven chalks.
