KEVIN Toal and Simon Brown shone in the spotlight to win the Lindal Floodlit Pairs.
The duo saw off father-and-son team Dave and Mark Dickinson 21-13 in the final of the Geoff Tyson-sponsored contest.
Toal and Brown took an early 4-0 lead, but the Dickinsons fought back to level at six-all in the ninth end.
It was nip-and-tuck for a few ends until Toal and Brown scored a vital four in the 16th and never looked back.
The champions won their quarter-final over Roy Moxham and Bob Stewart 21-14, followed by a tough semi-final success over Simon Perry and Paul Thompson, 21-19.
The Dickinsons started their campaign with a comfortable 21-7 success over Alex Spelman and Brian Andrews, followed by a 21-15 win over Andy Armstrong and Alf Moore.
Lindal Bowling Club thanked Geoff Tyson for his continued sponsorship, all competitors, the ground staff and club staff, and all markers and measurers.
