Mike Burns and Doug Day pounded the beat to good effect, while Jenny Dyer and Mike Hool played well for the visitors.

North Scale hosted Barrow Island A and gained a 10-2 win, with Dave Slowey and Dave Dent the only winners for the Old Barrow outfit.

King Alfred defeated Barrow Island B 10-2, with Ian McDonald having an easy win to hold his place at the top of the merits. For the visitors, Richard Allen and Graeme Rigg had convincing victories.

Walney Park trumped South End 8-4 as Tom Harris and Stu Price showed form, with John Goligy and Paul Holmes strong for the caravan park side.

Barrow Island took the points 10-2 against West Shore, with John Pattinson and Ann Lyons the only visiting winners.

At Walney Park, it was a clash between the B and A-teams, with the A-team triumphing 10-3. Mark Burns played well for the B-team, with Steve Lackey and Ian Fairclough standing out for the victors.
