MATTY While has been handed a one-match suspension for his red card in Barrow Raiders' home victory over Oxford after taking the option of an Early Guilty Plea.

The loose forward was hit with a Grade B charge for running in and punching after being dismissed during the 80-10 win for his part in a brawl which also saw Oxford's Jordan Siddons sent off.

However, While chose to take the option of an EGP ahead of tonight's disciplinary hearing and will now be suspended for the Raiders' first match of the Super Eights on July 30.

Siddons was banned for one match after taking an EGP as well after sparking the brawl, while team-mates Casey Canterbury and Tommy Newbould have been hit with suspensions for their part in the incident as well.

No action against Canterbury and Newbould was taken by the referee on the day, although they were since charge and given one and two-match bans respectively after entering EGPs.
