THE RFL have issued updated information for spectators attending this Saturday's final and the rest of the Summer Bash, including increased security at Bloomfield Road following Monday's terrorist attack in Manchester.

All of the information relating to the day can be found here, with further information available via The RFL's website at www.rugby-league.com.

What time does the ground open and what time does the League One Cup final kick-off?

The Bloomfield Road turnstiles open at 11am, with the League One Cup final between Barrow Raiders and North Wales Crusaders kicking off an hour later at 12pm.

The ticket office, which is situated in the north-west corner of the ground, will open for collections and to purchase tickets at 10am on Saturday.

Will there be increased security on Saturday?

Spectators attending are advised to allow extra time to gain entry to the stadium as thorough bag searches will be taking place on the day.

There will be a minute's silence prior to the League One Cup final to remember those affected by the attack in Manchester, as well as before the first Kingstone Press Championship game of the day

The RFL have also issued this statement, saying: “In light of the terrorist attack at Manchester Arena on Monday, May 22, the Rugby Football League would like to reassure all fans attending this weekend’s Summer Bash at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool that we are working very closely with the police and relevant partners in a coordinated and collaborative way in preparation for this event.

“Police will continue to monitor the intelligence picture surrounding Blackpool and regularly update the Rugby Football League throughout the week leading into the weekend.

“Rugby league events throughout the year are family-friendly and enjoyable environments – we encourage everyone to have a good time and if you do have any questions or need to speak to someone, please locate your nearest police officer, steward or Rugby Football League official.”

What else is taking place on Saturday?

Following the conclusion of the League One Cup final, there will be three Championship matches being played on Saturday.

The first match is between Oldham and Rochdale Hornets at 2.30pm, followed by London Broncos against Featherstone Rovers at 4.45pm and concluding with Hull Kingston Rovers versus Bradford Bulls at 7pm.

Can fans sit anywhere in the stadium?

There are sections for reserved and unreserved seating at Bloomfield Road through the Summer Bash.

Fans are advised to make sure they enter via the turnstile indicated on their ticket and stewards will be on hand to ensure seating in the reserved seating area is exclusively for those holding the relevant tickets.

Those sitting in the unreserved area are advised it may not be possible to return to the same seat if they choose to vacate it at any point during the day.

Spectators are also advised that some areas in the unreserved section will be marked as 'reserved' and are therefore not available for unreserved ticket holders.

Can spectators leave and return during the day?

A pass out system will be in operation, allowing spectators free movement from and to the stadium bowl. There is no limit on the number of times someone is allowed to exit and re- enter.

Spectators leaving the stadium bowl with the intention of returning may do so but must first ensure that they have a hand stamp applied on initial exit. If there is no evidence of a hand stamp re-entry will not be permitted. Hand stamps will be applied by stadium stewards.

Dedicated exit and re-entry gates in each stand will be used and spectators are only permitted to return to the stand they exited from.

Tickets must be retained as they need to be produced for re-entry if using the pass out system. Re-entry to the stadium will be on production of both a hand stamp and relevant match ticket.

What is the best way to get there?

Spectators travelling by car or coach are advised to follow the M55 until it meets Yeadon Way and not exit at Junction Three or Four.

Yeadon Way, Seasiders Way (the arterial route near to the stadium which feeds into the main coach and car parks) and surrounding roads are likely to be very busy, with traffic congestion highly likely.

To reduce congestion on Seasiders Way, spectators are advised to park in the first available car/coach park on approach to the stadium rather than driving to the end of Bloomfield Road where car parks may already be full or space very limited.

Many of the residential streets surrounding the ground are Residents Only Parking, any vehicles without a valid permit will be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.

Blackpool Transport are offering a £1 fare for all Summer Bash ticket holders on bus and tram journeys between North Pier and St Chad's Road. A valid ticket must be shown to redeem this offer.

There are several council-operated coach parks located near the ground and around the town with availability on a first-come- first-served basis.

The ones adjacent to the football club are: Seasiders car and coach park, Foxhall Village car and coach park and South car and coach park.

There are two more car and coach parks in town, Bank Street and Gynn Square, which are 1.7 and 2.5 miles from the stadium respectively.
