TONIGHT'S scheduled Furness Raiders home game against Bishop Burton in the College Rugby League Premier Division has been postponed.

The match at Craven Park, which was due to kick off at 7pm, has been called off after Bishop Burton contacted the Raiders late on Tuesday to let them know they could not raise a team.

Furness had been aiming to build on last week's 34-28 win over Loughborough-based Midlands Hurricanes, but will now have to see if this match can be rearranged.

The Raiders under-19s have no game next week and return to action with a trip to Hopwood Hall on Wednesday, November 1.

Their next home game is scheduled for November 22 when New College Pontefract, who Furness beat in the first match of the 2017/18 season, are due to visit.
