FURNESS Raiders will have to wait a bit longer for a return to action after their Association of Colleges National Cup match with Coleg Y Cymoedd fell victim to the weather.
The last 16 tie had initially been switched from Craven Park due to concerns over the pitch to Hindpool Tigers' Brisbane Park ground.
However, snowfall in the Barrow area today followed by rain left the pitch in an unplayable condition and with Coleg Y Cymoedd set to travel up and stay over tonight, a decision was taken early to postpone the match.
The tie will now be re-arranged for a new date, which will be confirmed in due course. Furness' next fixture is due to be the College Rugby League Premier Division game at home to Halifax ERA a week tomorrow.
