BARROW Raiders will get an early chance to avenge last Sunday's derby defeat to Whitehaven following the release of the fixtures for the Kingstone Press League One Super Eights.

The Raiders were beaten 32-6 at the Recreation Ground last Sunday, but will head back up the coast for the rematch when the second part of the season gets underway on Sunday, July 30.

Haven earned home advantage by virtue of finishing second in the regular season, although both clubs are guaranteed four home games as a reward for finishing in the top three.

Barrow's first Super Eights match at Craven Park comes against Doncaster, who they drew 24-24 with away earlier in the year, on Sunday, August 6.

York City Knights' second visit to Cumbria comes on August 20, with county rivals Workington Town travelling down on September 3 and the home game with Keighley Cougars rounding out the Super Eights on September 17.

The Raiders also face another trip out to Canada to play leaders Toronto Wolfpack as one of their three away games, which comes on Saturday, September 9, while their other away match is at Newcastle Thunder on August 12.

The team top of the table at the end of the Super Eights will be automatically promoted to the Championship, with teams from second to fifth going into the play-off semi-finals.
