Sutton United 0 Barrow AFC 0

THE Bluebirds preserved their fantastic unbeaten run at a place many of their rivals for promotion have already come unstuck.

It was a solid if unspectacular National League point for Paul Cox’s side against a Sutton team who have already sent Forest Green Rovers, Dagenham, Tranmere and Macclesfield packing this season.

It’s now 16 games without defeat in all competitions for Barrow as they defended well and survived a few scares in south west London to claim a well-earned point.

United’s Ross Stearn had four chances for the hosts but the winger couldn’t convert as keeper Joel Dixon refused to let anything through his fingers on a soggy day down in the capital.

Barrow too had opportunities and Ross Hannah’s failure in the first-half to convert with just defender Simon Downer on the line eventually cost AFC what would have been a noteworthy win at Gander Green Lane.
