HARROGATE prepare to welcome Barrow to Wetherby Road tomorrow on the back of an impressive midweek win over Salford City.

The National League North rivals played out their FA Trophy final qualifying round replay at Salford's Moor Lane home.

Goals from Joe Leesley, Joe Colbeck and Andi Thanoj propelled Town into the first round for the first time since 2010 – a year AFC supporters remember well, for their victorious trip to Wembley in the competition.

The Trophy has seen Harrogate show improved form than that displayed in league action of late – where they have lost six of their last eight fixtures to lie 10th in National League North, seven points off the play-offs after a nine-game unbeaten start.

They did win their last fixture on the 3G pitch at Wetherby Road, a 2-1 success against AFC Telford United, thanks to a brace from JP Pittman.

Harrogate are expecting a big crowd for tomorrow's encounter – the first between the teams at the venue since a 2-2 draw in Barrow's promotion-winning 2014/15 campaign. Danny Livesey is the only survivor from that game – though Alex-Ray Harvey did play in the games either side of the early-season fixture.

Since then, Town have installed the artificial pitch at their home stadium, making it the second season in succession Barrow have been drawn away in the FA Trophy at a team with an all-weather surface. Last season, a goal from Benjamin van den Broek saw them overcome Sutton Coldfield Town at the same stage of the competition.

Barrow fans will be segregated for the fixture, and will enter the ground via the South Gate turnstile. A number of seats will be reserved for supporters of Barrow who require them.

If tomorrow's game ends in a draw, the replay will take place at Holker Street on Tuesday night (7.45pm kick-off).

The second round draw will take place on Monday lunchtime.
