BARROW AFC trio Danny Livesey, Shaun Beeley and Paul Turnbull face fitness battles in order to face Chester on Tuesday night.

Livesey missed Saturday's 1-1 draw at Torquay United with a knee problem, while Turnbull left the field after taking a knock to his ankle in the second half.

Beeley played the whole match despite feeling a groin issue before kick-off and boss Paul Cox is waiting on late fitness tests on all three.

He said: “Danny is touch and go. It's about 50/50 and we will check on him and see how he is. It's important that we don't keep putting people through the mill – at some point he is going to break permanently if we keep doing that.

“Dan will make an honest decision, we will take his advice on everything and see where we go.

“Beeley was struggling before the game with his groin and Turnbull went over on his ankle. He got through a large part of the game, but he took a bang on his foot as well.

“We'll wait and see what happens with all three of them. It's all to do with how they come through training. They will be assessed by the physio and we will have a look to see where we are.”
