BARROW AFC looked to have survived the January transfer window intact last night.
As the Evening Mail went to press just before the window for Football League clubs closed, no further bids had been received for targets Nick Anderton or Jordan Williams.
The Bluebirds rejected offers for 'certain players' earlier in the week as they did not meet their valuations.
No further bids were forthcoming which did meet those demands yesterday, with manager Paul Cox biding his time until the loan window opens before making his own moves for targets.
Cox was relieved to have kept hold of his players, but felt it reflected well on Barrow that they were attracting interest from clubs higher up the footballing ladder.
He said: “You are always going to get interest when you have got good players. We have got good players, and I see it as a positive for Barrow that people are looking at our players. That can only be a massive plus.”
