ASKAM RL under-14s lifted the Cumbria Cup after an emphatic 52-16 victory over Glasson Rangers at Brisbane Park on Sunday.
Man-of-the-match Kieran Walker led the romp with a five-try haul as the Villagers took full control of the match.
Walker went in for two early tries, followed by prop Ben Atkinson with a brace.
The number 10 completed his hat-trick in the second half, while Grady Slater also touched down. Brad Walker added eight conversions from nine attempts to round off the triumph. The cup was presented to Askam by former Barrow Raiders and Cumbria captain Gary Broadbent.
For Glasson, who could only raise 13 players for the trip to Barrow, tries came from James Beck, Ethan Weir and Bradley Trembles, who also added one conversion.
