A CONVERTED try was enough to see Millom under-12s overcome Barrow Island in the Barrow and District Youth League.
The encounter proved as closely-fought between the two teams as the scoreline would suggest and those watching were able to enjoy a well-contested match.
Ultimately though, it came down to one score to separate the sides and it was Lewis Procter who got the crucial try, with Jack Procter adding the conversion.
Otherwise, it was defences to the fore as Millom were unable to add to their tally and Barrow Island could not find away through their opponents to get back into the game.
