Tori Donnelly struck with just two minutes of extra-time remaining to take the trophy back to Glaxo after a tight and thrilling encounter with Dalton Aces.
The sides were well matched and both keepers made plenty of saves to keep the match at 0-0 until deep into the second half of normal time.
With 10 minutes to go, Ulverston’s Molly Wilcock showed her skills with the ball and ran into Dalton’s area before shooting and scoring at the near post to put the Lionesses 1-0 up.
The lead was short-lived, however, as the Aces forced extra-time, with pressure applied to the Rangers defence paying off as a bobbling shot beat Lionesses keeper Elle Graham.
With no more goals in normal time, extra-time of five minutes each way was all that stood between the teams and a penalty shootout.
The first period was very cagey, but midway through the second Donnelly received the ball and put in a lob.
The shot went up in the air and came down. Dalton’s keeper got her hands to it, but could not stop it bouncing into the back of the net.
With only two minutes to go, Dalton applied sustained late pressure but were not able to capitalise as the cup went the way of Ulverston.
In the under-10s final, Dalton Aces beat Ulverston Rangers to complete a league and cup double.
