SWARTHMOOR made it six wins out of six in the Kent Valley Junior Football League with a handsome victory at Milnthorpe.

After two weeks without a match due to the weather, Moor were in impressive form with a superb display in the wintry sunshine at Holme Sports Ground.

The visitors raced away with five first-half goals, including three quite stunning strikes from Jackson Donnan, Arran Pender and George Dearden from outside the box, putting them on easy street.

Another two goals from Alfie Thorpe and Donnan put the match way beyond Milnthorpe by half-time.

Swarthmoor's passing football, despite the heavy pitch conditions, had Milnthorpe chasing shadows for much of the game.

One move involved a 15-pass combination from defence, through the midfield and attack, with only an excellent save by home keeper George Yates preventing Dearden from rounding off what would have been a wondrous team goal.

The wing play of Thorpe was also causing carnage for Town, with his speed, trickery and pin-point crossing all top-drawer.

Swarthmoor picked up where they left off in the second half and again strung together some excellent passing moves, ripping the heart out of the home team.

Bustling striker Pender was in fine form, hitting a couple more thunderous shots past Yates from acute angles, taking his haul to four in the match.

A couple of own goals, Ross Lancaster (2), Freddie Burrow and Adam Kirby finished off an inspiring team performance.

Dearden put in a man-of-the-match performance with a tireless display.

It is now six league wins out of six for Swarthmoor, scoring 64 goals and conceding just five – though their next home match is in mid-January.
