Ambleside U14s 0 Swarthmoor 6

SWARTHMOOR maintained their winning start to the season and inflicted a first defeat on Ambleside to reach the Kent Valley JFL Jackson Cup semi-finals.

A miserable, wet start at the picturesque Kelsick Park did not put Moor off their game, with the weather thankfully changing to a lovely autumn sunshine as the match went on.

Swarthmoor, sponsored by RfM, controlled the match from kick-off and were never inany danger as they threatened to overrun Ambleside.

Only a string of fine saves from the home keeper kept the rampant visitors at bay, with only two first-half goals from Mitchell Baldwin and Jack Milburn to show for their efforts.

There was a display of fine flowing football from defence through to attack in a commanding performance from Swarthmoor and it continued after the break.

Ambleside started to struggle to contain the relentless pressure and four further goals from Baldwin (2), Milburn and Freddie Burrow rounded off another impressive all-round team display.
