RAMS Head started the new Molson Coors Central Summer Darts League season in tremendous style crushing Harbour 8-1.

The Hardie boys – Nat and Gary – led the way, both claiming singles and pairs wins.

Nat his two tons in his singles success, while Gary threw a 134 before teaming up with Peter Grydziuszko for another victory, with a further ton thrown into the mix. Nat paired with Dave Whitby and the duo threw a 121 as they added a further point.

Dan Thompson (100) was another notable victor for the visitors.

For the Harbour, there were some high scores from the likes of Tony Lashmar (2x100), Gordon Rigg (120) and the pairings of  Lashmar and Ronnie Woods (100), Gordy Mayor and Tony Woods (100) and Mike Mayor and Rigg (135, 100), but all lost.

The best game of the night was thrown by Britannia's Ste Burns, checking out in 22 darts, including two 140s and a 100, as his side went down 6-3 at home to Dirty Duck.

Paul Harris (Britannia) and Roy Devereux (Dirty Duck) both hit maximum 180s in the match.

Ray Jefferson (2x100) and the duo of Harris and Jefferson (100) scored the Brit's other points.

For the Dirty Duck, Devereux's 180 came alongside Eddie Backhouse in a pairs success, while Adam Downing (2x100), Mike Ireland (100) and Dave Glasgow (140, 2x100) also won.

Costello's player Brian Charlton had the highest knock up of the night, with a 66, having already thrown scores of 140 and 121, as his side edged out White Lion 5-4.

Shaun McPoland (100), Paul Southward (125, 100) and Chris Oldcorn (100) were other victors for Costello's.

White Lion's Glenn Gower (140), Mark Foster (124) and the pairing of John Green and Foster (104) took points for their side.

Cross Keys sit second after the opening round of fixtures have come away from Wanderers with a 7-2 success.

Pivotal to their win were Tommy Bland (120), Alan Boyle (100), Gary McFarlane (100), Derek Phillips (114), and the pairings of Bland and Gareth Willis (140, 134) and  John Moore and Phillips (120).

Simon Goodwin and Peter Gaitskell (100) teamed up to take a point for the home side.

The remaining two fixtures saw 5-4 home wins for Navy Club and Blue Lamp against Raiders Bar and the Ambrose respectively.

Best for the Navy Club were Paul Armistead (120), Pat Hunter (140) and the duos of Ian Goodwin and Armistead (140, 100) and Dave Armstrong and Hunter (121).

Blue Lamp's standout men were Kev Staunton (123, 117), Craig Boyd (123, 102, 100) and the partnerships of  Bob and Craig Boyd (140) and Tony Penman and Dave Heseltine (100).

Raiders Bar's Josh Rose (100) and J Wakefield (100) scored well to take points, as did Jamie Lynn (3x100) and Jack Harris (100) for the Ambrose.
