The battle for second and third was even closer, with MacKenzie edging out Fisher's Hoad Hill club-mate Zachary Davies by just two seconds.

Felicity Boyle (7.04) and fellow Hoad Hill runner Amelia Thompson (7.17) were second and third respectively in the girls' category.
In total, 52 runners from the Striders, Barrow ABC, Walney and host club Hoad Hill, plus a large number not affiliated with clubs, took part in the race.
