FURNESS CC made a strong start to their National Junior Table Tennis League North West campaign.
The team of Ryan Cotton, Ben McDonald and Matty Rigg defeated Morecambe 6-0, Preston 4-2 and Oldham B 4-2, drawing 3-3 against Oldham A to finish second in the group, one point behind the first-string Oldham side.
McDonald won seven of his eight matches, with Cotton and Rigg both claiming five victories.
Furness CC cadet player Rebecca Rigg featured for Garstang in the National Cadet League North West at Garstang, winning 8 of her 10 matches with some impressive table tennis.
