HOLKER Old Boys juniors will get some tips from the top next month when coaches from Premier League Everton come to town.

The Stags recently agreed a partnership deal with Everton, which is set to benefit the club's burgeoning junior section which boasts 15 teams and around 220 children.

As part of the link-up, coaches from Everton will hold a session at Rakesmoor Lane on Wednesday November 2 for players in the years four to seven bracket.

Youngsters will take part in mini games and receive coaching and every kid taking part will receive a special certificate.

Commenting on the partnership deal with the Goodsion Park club, Old Boys juniors secretary Michelle Askew said recently: “They (Everton) wanted to have a look in Cumbria because they realise we have a lot of talent in this area, but unfortunately it doesn't get recognised because we're so far out.

“But with signing this partnership deal, it will give the children in this area a lot more opportunities going forward and we were honoured they did agree this with us."
