SMOOTH-SWINGING Furness golf ace Natasha Slater will represent England as they try to win the Nations Cup this weekend.
Slater, 16, is part of the England's Team Four, alongside Harry Goddard, of Hertfordshire, and John Gough, of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxon.
The Ulverston Victoria High School pupil heads to the Fairhaven Trophies competition between Friday and Sunday having finished 11th at the Scottish Under-18s Championship at Strathmore.
Last week, she competed in the Scottish Women's Strokeplay Championship at Royal Troon – home of this year's Open.
Slater is a past under-16s England international and a Scottish Under-14s champion, as well as finishing sixth in the North of England Under-16s strokeplay last year and 22nd in the English Women’s strokeplay.
England's Team One, of Toby Briggs, Holly Muse and Matty Lamb are aiming to defend the under-18s title, which Muse and Briggs helped win last year.
