FRESH from reaching the Harry Warman Cup final, Askam and Ulverston look to maintain their places at the head of the Barrow and District League tonight.

Leaders Askam travel to mid-table Barrow Island, having been handed a walkover in the cup as Walney central could not raise a team.

Ulverston host Hindpool in a repeat of their semi-final from last week, though this time at Dragley Beck, rather than Brisbane Park.

The second-placed league side came away with a 54-34 victory in the cup, with Hindpool given 12 points on the handicap and the visitors two.

Ulverston led 26-6 at half-time and kept up the pressure to run out easy winners.

Lee Boyde (2), Jason Mason and Stuart Travers crossed the whitewash for the Tigers, with Callum Dale kicking three goals.

Ulverston’s tries came from Howard Rowley (2), Jake Spedding (2), Andy Allen (2), Eric Hill, Dave John, Brad Williamson and Tom Spedding. Jake Spedding landed six goals.
