“IT’S absolutely massive” that was the verdict of Barrow AFC midfielder Kian Spence ahead of Saturday’s home clash with Mansfield Town.
The Bluebirds 2-1 defeat at home to Bradford City on Tuesday night put another dent in their play-off hopes.
But Pete Wild’s side know that victory in their last league home game of the season will be enough to get them over the line.
Should they lose to Mansfield, who have already sealed automatic promotion, then they will have to rely on results elsewhere.
Speaking to the club’s official website about the clash, Spence said: “It’s absolutely massive. We’ve got one more shot.
“It’s still in our hands and everybody, the fans, players, staff, everybody at the club needs to come together for this last game, and to try to get us over the line.”
Barrow currently sit seventh in the League Two table - the final play off spot.
Scenarios that will see Barrow make the play-offs:
If Barrow win
Victory over the Stags on Saturday means the Bluebirds can't be caught no matter what happens elsewhere.
If Barrow draw
Crawley would need to either draw or lose
Bradford would need to either draw or lose. If they win, it would need to be by eight goals to overturn Barrow’s superior goal difference
If Barrow lose
Crawley would need to draw and Barrow’s defeat be fewer than two goals AND Bradford would need to drop points
