BARROW AFC manager Pete Wild has provided an injury update ahead of this weekend’s clash against Newport County.
Jamie Proctor recently returned from suspension after being shown a red card in the Bluebirds’ 2-0 defeat away to AFC Wimbledon on February 10.
The 31-year-old striker impressed in midweek after scoring a brace for Barrow’s B Team in their 2-0 win over Bolton’s B Team and could be in contention to make the squad on Saturday.
Junior Tiensia also marked his return to action after suffering a serious ankle injury back in October.
He played a full 90 minutes and could also be available.
However, Wild will still be without captain Niall Canavan, who hasn’t featured for Barrow in three matches after suffering a calf injury.
The Barrow boss said he expected his skipper to return in a couple of weeks.
