ROOSE Pioneers entertain Wigan Springview at Redwaters, the visitors coming  to the rescue when original visitors Ashton Bears pulled out due to lack of players.

Pioneers are back in action after last week's scheduled fixture at Hindpool Tigers was called off due to an unfit pitch.

Roose veteran Craig Deakin is set to take part alongside his son Layton who are both in the 17-man squad.

Deakin Snr has been part of the Pioneers setup since the mid 90s, while Layton spent his youth playing days at Hindpool.

Rickie Donaghue, Grant Robinson, Tom Farren and Matty Roberts are unavailable, but Matty Gedling and Taylor Roberts are set to return.

Hindpool Tigers face Newton Storms at Brisbane Park with new recruit Zack Middlehurst set to make his debut, while back following a three year lay off - is Jamie Lynn. Illness rules out Rocco Scarpone.

Ulverston travel to Thatto Heath “A” and welcome back Brad Williams, Josh Catlett and Josh Rankin, while Jamie Dickinson, Oli Coward and Louis Dickinson are all in contention to make their senior debuts.
