BARROW AFC boss Pete Wild is expecting Swindon Town to try to make the most of home advantage when the two sides clash at the County Ground tomorrow.
The Robins suffered a 4-0 defeat away to AFC Wimbledon last weekend.
But Wild believes Swindon will be a different prospect on home turf.
He said: “Swindon are an open and expansive side, with some real good players across the team.
“Swindon at home are a very good team, and we are expecting a team that is really going to come after us and really try to prod and poke us and see what we’ve got.
“We know they will be looking to bounce back from last weekend, and we have to make sure we are ready.
“We haven’t played them yet this season, but we know what they are capable of, and we need to make sure we are the best version of ourselves.
“It’s about sticking to our gameplan and making sure we do the right things.
“We have done really well so far this season, but we have to keep building on that.
“The games are going to come thick and fast, and we have to make sure we are ready.
“We need to take it one game at a time, focus on this one, then the next one, then the next one and see where that takes us.
“We can’t get too far ahead of ourselves or get too carried away that’s when you can slip up if you do that.
“Staying focused is the key, and if we do that and make the right decisions and keep working hard then we won’t be too far away from where we want to be hopefully.”
Apart from long-term absentees - full-backs Tyrell Warren and Junior Tiensia, Wild has a full squad to choose from for the clash with the Robins.
He added: “Everyone is fighting fit apart from the two lads who are out with long-term injuries – Junior and Tyrell.
“That gives me a bit of a headache when it comes to picking the team, but it is the sort of headache you like to have. Now all I have to do is make sure I pick the right team to get a result.”
