Local riders kept the Furness flag flying high at Moto X events last weekend.
Veteran Paul Coward from Kirkby gained another top 6 placing on his Kawasaki in the Vets Class at the latest Acerbis Championship round on the Culham track near Oxford organised by Darren Hudson and his team.
Last years Bridgestone British Masters Champion Greg Fisher from Dalton was not so fortunate. Greg took a really nasty looking fall, but thanks to the prompt attention from the medical team it turned out not to be as serious.
However he is going to be sporting a neck support for the next few weeks. Meanwhile over in Yorkshire, Barrow`s Mike Walker and Callum Bircher contested the Yorkshire Twin Shock Scramble near Beverley. Mike proving his off road skills are just as good as his road racing skills with a fine 2nd placing on his Maico.
