Barrow AFC will face off against their under-21 side in a friendly match at Holker Street on Friday night, as they make the most of what was a spare weekend.

The Bluebirds had no fixture on Saturday after being knocked out of the FA Cup by Chorley in the fourth qualifying round, with the first round proper of the competition taking place this weekend.

The match gives them the chance to keep their fitness ticking over ahead of next Saturday's home game against Eastleigh in the National League.

AFC's U21s are unbeaten this season in the Lancashire FA Floodlit League, with their captain Christian Sloan recently earning a first-team contract off the back of his performances.

The match kicks off at 7pm, with adult tickets costing £5, a ticket for concessions will set you back just £3, while under-16s will be able to enter the ground for free.

Furthermore, the Bluebirds Trust will be offering a free hot drink to every ticket holder at the game.

A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will also be donated to Children in Need 2018.
