BUOYED by last week’s win over Upper Eden, Hawcoat Park host third-placed Cockermouth in Cumbria League One tomorrow, writes Jason Meadows.

The Maroon & Whites will, however, be without Elliot McDermott, Jason Priss and Matty Sayle due to other commitments. Winger Lewis Sayle faces a late fitness test as well.

In the front row, Andy Kent, Adam Grainger and John Donnan are looking to stamp there authority on the game.

Matt Robson and Jack Sutherland will want to keep their second row jerseys, backed up by a dynamic back row of Grady Slater, Mike Lightfoot and the returning Callum Ramsey.

James Howden continues at scrum-half and links up with Scott Kaighan. Hawcoat captain George Smith and Chris Burns continue at centre, with Benji Platt at full-back and Ryan Clegg on the other wing.

Having been left without a game last week, Hawcoat’s A side head to Vale of Lune 4 in their latest North West Intermediate League Divison Four North game and have a strong squad available.

There is competition for places all over the park, particularly in the second row where Martin Kennedy, Luke Shaw, Corey Doherty and Jordan Bayliff all look to fill the two shirts up for grabs.

Jack Shannon or Will Comes will play at scrum-half and there are plenty of options out wide in Keenan Cotton, Jack Lord and Adam Armstrong.
