Mum Melanie Baggaley launched an appeal via the Evening Mail to get her daughter her own specialist bike after Keira took part in one of the children's races at the Barrow leg of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series. A MOTHER and daughter are looking forward to their first family bike ride, thanks to a generous donation.

A KILLER has been jailed for a fatal Thai prison attack on a 46-year-old Furness man after a three year battle for justice. Naruenart Mongkolchart will serve five years and four months for causing the death of Sean Flanagan, from Dalton. He died in 2012 after being detained at Pattaya Remand while awaiting a trial for theft.
