Home owners and tenants can take advantage of Cumbria Action for Sustainability's free Energy Saving at Home service if they meet one of these criteria:

* Over 60 years old and on a low income

* Under 60 and in receipt of a means-tested benefit

* A member of the household has a disability or long-term health issue

A Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS) worker will visit your home to give advice on ways to save energy and check your home for draughts.

If you need LED bulbs or have draughts around your doors, windows, letterbox and chimney, for example, they will provide draughtproofing materials and arrange for a professional fitter to come and install them - all free of charge.

To deliver the scheme, CAfS has won funding from the Ebico Trust and Global Action Plan.

Numbers are limited, however, so contact the organisation on 01768 210276 or via the website www.cafs.org.uk.
