CHILDREN invaded a Furness museum with their Viking shield designs.
The Dock Museum invited youngsters from across Cumbria to create a Viking shield design.
The Barrow museum was looking for a winning design to be painted on a shield and then sent out to Cumbria schools in its Vikings Loan box.
From more than 150 entries, Harvey Wilding’s design was chosen as the winner. The 11-year-old from Lindal and Marton Primary School won a Viking helmet, books and goodies from the museum.
Harvey and eight runners-up were presented with their prizes by Barrow Mayor, Councillor Wendy Maddox.
The runners up were; Harry Nicholson, Ethan Hird, Joseph Hennah and Ayse Sonmez, Jessica Millan and Courtney Archer, and Willow Church and Willow Lee.
