Woman 'slammed' to floor in Barrow assault

POLICE are hunting a Barrow attacker who ‘slammed’ a woman to the floor.

The assault took place at around 5.45pm in Greengate Street, Barrow, on Sunday.

A man is alleged to have picked up a woman and slammed her to the floor.

A passer by challenged the man.

The victim was left with bruised hands.

Anyone with information, or who witnessed the assault, is asked to phone Barrow police on 101 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
