Woman dies after Cumbria road collision

A WOMAN has died after a road collision in Cumbria.

Cumbria police said emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision on the Old Scotch Road, Sedbergh today.

At 9.16am police were called following a collision between a Land Rover and a quad bike.

The driver of the quad bike was transported to Royal Lancaster Infirmary, where despite the efforts of the medical staff, she died.

The woman driver of the Land Rover, 43, was not injured.

Collision investigation officers attended the scene.
