TWO more competition winners are celebrating after scooping top prizes, thanks to the Evening Mail.

An iPad would cost you around £400 on the high street – but one lucky competition winner has bagged one for less than 40p.

Louise Kellett won the latest must-have tablet with a lowest unique bid of just 36p.

She landed the popular gadget by entering the Evening Mail’s reverse auction competition.

Mrs Kellett, of Olive Close, Dalton, has saved herself a fortune, as she was considering buying an iPad.

“I was really pleased when I found out, because I’ve been thinking about buying one,” said the 43-year-old.

“At the moment I use a laptop and a netbook, but this will probably stop me living on my iPhone.”

Mrs Kellett, who works as a private music teacher, admitted there was no rhyme or reason to her 36p bid. “It was just a total guess,” she said.

Our second winner is a bride-to-be who landed herself a fantastic photo shoot worth almost £200.

Fiona Johnson has won the bridal boudoir make-over photo shoot with Lorraine Oates, an award-winning leading female professional portrait photographer.

The shoot, worth £195, will take place in the Boudoir Lounge at the photographer’s Powder and Paint studio in Station Road, Dalton.

Miss Johnson, of Woodland near Kirkby, correctly answered the question: “Where is the Powder and Paint photography studio based?”

The 27-year-old, who will be marrying fiance Ben Patterson in June next year, said she was delighted with her win. “I thought it would be nice to have some nice pictures done,” she said.

The competition featured in our Cumbria Weddings magazine for autumn/winter 2012.

The fabulous prize includes full, professional make-up, false eyelashes, a photo shoot and Miss Johnson’s choice of finished images from the shoot – which will be mounted and framed.
