Where there’s a will

CHARITIES are asking people to make a will and help good causes at the same time. The annual Will Aid campaign aims to protect the families of those who have not yet made wills, while at the same time fundraising for important causes.

Throughout November, participating solicitors will write basic wills without charging their normal fee.

Instead, they will be inviting clients to donate a recommended £75 for a single will, or £115 for a pair of mirror wills, to the campaign’s chosen charities.Local solicitors involved in the campaign include Simon Hollis, from Livingstons in Barrow and Ulverston, and Geraldine Craig from Gedye & Sons in Grange.

Charities set to benefit include ActionAid, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Help The Aged, NSPCC, Save the Children UK, Sightsavers International.

To find out more about how to make your charity will, visit www.willaid.co.uk, or ring the Will Aid hotline on 0300 0300 013.
