A SCHOOL community has raised more than £500 for charity.
South Walney Junior School raised £504.40 with its World's Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.
To promote the event the school councillors posted flyers through to neighbours and invited the local community to attend, as well as family and friends. The guests were entertained by the school's Young Voices Choir. Year Three performed songs in French and Year Four children demonstrated their keyboard skills.
Brother and sister, Ellis and Neve Rae, donated the proceeds raised through their own jumble sale to the coffee morning funds.
