A WANNABE recycler is now able to get rid of his paper, plastic and cardboard after waiting weeks for a new wheelie bin.
Mark Day contacted The Mail after seeing our offer to help another resident who was still awaiting delivery of a new red recycling bin.
Mr Day, who lives on Walney, said he had made a number of calls to Barrow Borough Council but had still not been given a new bin.
We got directly in touch with waste collection services provider FCC Environment, who arranged for supervisor Tim Kelly to deliver a new bin later that same day.
Mr Day thanked "Top man Tim" who kindly delivered the bin after he had finished work for the day.
Anyone who is in need of a new wheelie bin can call the town hall on 01229 876543.
Alternatively, you can complete an online form on the council's website at www.barrowbc.gov.uk .
