A MAN accused of attempting to defraud online buyers by offering items for sale he did not have has appeared in court.
Paul Andrew Murray, of Roding Green on Walney, has been charged with seven different offences relating to fraudulently offering items for sale.
It is alleged the 41-year-old tried to sell the items online on Gumtree, Shpock, Ebay and Facebook but had no items for sale.
The items included a Samsung Galaxy, Galaxy Note 4, X Box 1, Playstation 4, an Apple watch and Motocross bikes.
Most of the items were motorcycle parts and accessories such as wheels, parts and a helmet.
The offences are alleged to have happened between September 2015 and October 2016.
Murray appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court yesterday.
No pleas were entered and he is next due to appear at Preston Crown Court tomorrow on Friday February 9.
