TWO men are today due to appear in court in connection with an alleged assault which left a Walney man with serious head injuries.
Police were called to an address in Thames Road on Walney on Sunday morning after 39-year-old Wayne McCormick suffered a serious head injury. He was taken to Furness General Hospital and later discharged.
Two men - Christopher Parkinson, 30, of Conway Gardens, Walney; and 38-year-old Daniel Miller, of Duke Street in Askam, have been jointly charged with wounding with intent.
Miller has also been charged with assaulting Lisa Kummer and a racially-aggravated public order offence.
Miller and Parkinson are due to appear at Furness Magistrates' Court this morning.
