POLICE have launched an appeal after a man who challenged two men on off-road motorbikes was punched several times in the face in Walney.

The incident took place in West Shore Walney near the Old Vickers tip site.

The first male has been described as wearing a black tracksuit top with a full-faced motorbike helmet with a peak.

He is thought to have a local accent and was riding a black motorbike which had a distinctive red and silver rockstar logo on the left-hand side of the bike. It had no number plates fitted.

The other male wanted in connection with the incident is described as being 16 to 17 years old with short blonde hair and tanned skin.

He was wearing a pale blue sweatshirt and hoodie and was riding a small motorbike.

Anyone with information should contact Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to pass the information to PC 2419.
