TWO men have appeared in court after being accused of dangerous driving and racing vehicles on a Walney road.
Christopher Joseph Clarke, 18, of Priory Road, Ulverston, pleaded not guilty to dangerous driving after it was alleged he drove a Vauxhall Astra dangerously in Ironworks Road in Barrow on October 6 of last year.
Stuart Edward Howarth, 25, of Mill Lane, Walney, was also charged with dangerous driving - namely on a Yamaha motorbike - on the same road on October 6. He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He was also alleged to have taken part in a race, or speed trial between motor vehicles on a public way, but this charge was withdrawn.
The two men will attend Barrow Magistrates' Court on Monday April 10 at 10am to stand trial.
