POLICE have renewed an appeal over two incidents on Walney involving a suspect described as having bad teeth and ginger hair.

A woman in her 50s was sexually assaulted on a public footpath off Solway Drive, Walney, sometime between 4.30pm and 4.45pm on Christmas Day. Shebravely fought off the man who fled. The victim was very badly shaken and sustained a minor injury.

The exposure incident happened close to the kennels on Walney at around 2.15pm on December 29.

Both incidents involved a while male suspect who had very poor front teeth. The Christmas Day description said he was in his early 20s, around 5ft 7in, of slim build, wearing a dark-coloured hooded top, with the hood up, and dark jogging bottoms. He was understood to be under the influence of alcohol.

The description from December 29 said he was about 5ft 6in, with shoulder length ginger hair. He was completely naked from the waist down apart from a pair of blue trainers.

Police have spoken to a number of men and they have eliminated them from the enquiry.
