POLICE are investigating an attempted burglary at a building on Walney.
Police said the coastguard tower and storage unit off Mill Lane was targeted by offenders.
Police said the incident happened sometime between 2.30pm on Thursday and 6.30am on Friday.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Cumbria Police on 101, or alternatively Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The coastguard tower was originally a military observation tower for Fort Walney.
The building was recently on the market for £135,000.
